United fronts! Sweet father supports his breastfeeding partner after she leaked in public by dabbing his own chest with water to match her

  • Mother-of-two Chris Lopez of Chino, California, was out running errands with her partner Cee Grant last week when she began to leak milk through her shirt
  • She wasn't wearing pads that day and had no way to cover up the stain, so her man showed solidarity by wetting his own shirt
  • After the sweet gesture, Chris shared the story online, praising the father of her children for his incredible support

A father is being praised online after offering some creative support to his partner as she deals with breastfeeding their child.

Last week, Chris Lopez of Chino, California, was out running around with her partner and dad of her two kids Cee Grant when she began to leak milk in public, having not worn pads that day.

Then, as she was starting to feel self-conscious without anything to cover up the dark spot appearing on her clothes, she turned to her man and he did something wonderful: he made her laugh.

In a Facebook post Chris later shared about the story, she described watching as Cee 'grabs a napkin and water and dabs his nipple so I wouldn't be alone.'

She added: 'Everyday we recognize the moms who breastfeed but today I just wanted to give a little shout out to my biggest fan.'

Along with her words, she posted an image of herself smiling broadly as she shows off the stain on her grey sweatshirt. Cee stands directly behind her with one eyebrow raised and displaying his own wet spot.

Giving thanks: After being so touched by his gesture, Chris shared the story in a Facebook post

Also in the post, Chris opened up about how much Cee's support really meant, recounting how he had been battling addiction while she was looking after their first child and wasn't available to provide her with much help while she was going through struggles with her breastfeeding.

'I had a lot of pain and sadness from not being able to nurse my son,' she told Yahoo. 'I had this guilt that I failed him or myself.'

Wonderfully, Cee was eventually able to get clean and sober and he and Chris decided to have another child together. Their daughter, Camilla, is nearly 11 months old.

This time, however, Chris made sure to let Cee know that things needed to be different this time around. She told Yahoo that she gained the confidence to speak up after following the advice of a life coach.

'I needed his support and encouragement and for him not to let me give up when I wanted to. He didn't realize how much I needed his support until I actually opened my mouth and expressed it to him and boy has he come through,' she said.

'There has def been a few times where I was ready to give up and he didn't let me. From 1am trips to Walgreens for nipple shields to scrubbing gentian Violet off the bathroom counter, he has done things so much differently for me this time around and it has helped me succeed in so many ways.'
